Getting Connected at School
SPC: We welcome all Manning caregivers to get involved with SPC (School Parent Council), which represents all Manning families! There are many ways to volunteer and contribute. Please join our monthly SPC meetings by Zoom to listen in on what we're up to.
WhatsApp Groups: Each grade has a WhatsApp group to share information and announcements, and there is a Manning-wide WhatsApp. If you'd like to be included and don't know how, please contact Ms. Council for the group links.
Social Media: Manning SPC Facebook Group
Volunteering: We need YOU to help make Manning an amazing experience for our students. You can attend a meeting, participate in a committee, help create or run an event, volunteer directly for the school, and more. Whether you want to get involved a little or a lot, we're glad to have you! Contact the SPC to learn more.

Joining the Manning Community
How do I send my child to the Manning? Students are placed at the Manning through the Boston Public Schools Welcome Center. You must be a Boston resident. If Manning is on your address-based lottery list, you can enter the lottery before the winter deadline. Other students with IEPs may be placed administratively. Learn more at the Great Starts website or contact a BPS Welcome Center by phone, email, or in person. Manning SPC is not involved in lottery placement.
Most students enter Manning in K1 (age 4 as of September 1) or K2 (age 5), but every year we do have new students in each grade and starting mid-year!

Do you really love turtles, or what?
